Kimberly Millis

Program Coordinator

Kimberly has been passionate about helping others since she was young. She has worked in the special needs sector since she was 18. Apart from her upbeat and charismatic personality, Kim brings knowledge and skills from her many years of learning from people with special abilities to her role as a Program Coordinator. Earning her diploma in Communications from Lethbridge College in 2007, Kim uses her interest in communications to encourage participants to learn and interact with the world around them through a fun and collaborative approach to teaching. Kim also received a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Development Studies from the University of Guelph, Ontario in 2013, which enabled her to travel to South Africa where she facilitated classes to children ages twelve to fourteen. It is her belief in the power of education and its ability to improve people’s lives that inspired her to establish a scholarship for a young man to earn a postsecondary degree.

Kim’s empathetic and enthusiastic attitude is contagious in her work and teaching. She always strives to create an inclusive environment that fosters positivity, love, and self-confidence to help participants reach their full potential. Being a lifelong learner, Kim is motivated to continue to find creative ways to spark the interests and imaginations of learners and to support them in finding their passion. She is excited to see FACE grow and be part of the new and evolving adult program.

Kimberly is happiest spending time with the people whom she loves, being in nature, meditating, and attempting to master numerous new hobbies and activities — currently climbing and converting her bike into an e-bike!
